Our train journey had ended, but on its completion, a new journey of friendship began after we disembarked.
With the excitement of last educational trip of college life we departed from Ahmedabad, in the hotness of summer weather. We set off, perspiring and anxious about the 27-hour trip that included an overnight ride.
“What I love about 'Midnight Train' is that it's a song about a journey, but the music actually takes you on that journey. It feels like you're moving through the whole song" - Garth Brooks

What began as a train ride between seniors and juniors turned into buddies who could put aside their age differences and looked out for one another. With the newfound vigour for the voyage, it turned into a sweaty, sleepless journey and all ready to reach the destination... but were unaware of the surprises nature had in store.
The transition from a dry summer condition to a chilly, natural state had its own perspective. The warmth of five or six buddies sharing a seat of three individuals(even though we had seats), the chilly breeze brushing across your face. With plenty of talking (aka gossiping😅), games, music, embarrassment, and getting down on each station merely to experience DDLJ moments, the ride flew by like a droplet of rain.
Pass through the beautiful Kangra valley, full of river bridges, deep gorges and lush flora, en route to the foothills of the Himalayas. At your destination, you’ll find yourself delightfully close to nature. The perfect destination to unwind and soak up the glorious mountain landscapes.
